This course has helped me experience many different types of technology that I can utilize in the classroom. I feel that the course allowed me to explore and become better acquainted with the technologies that my students will use in their day to day lives. I am more confident in my technological skills due to the applications and assignments that I completed in this course.
I hope to continue to move forward and not let technology intimidate me. I believe that in increasing my familiarity with technology my students will benefit significantly. I look forward to integrating more technology into my lesson plans. I am excited about the possibilities.
One goal that I would set is to set up a blog for each of my classes. I hope that by doing so my students and I will be able to effectively communicate and that I will be able to involve all students in the discussion. I am hoping that those students who are intimidated by speaking up in the classroom will use this avenue as an outlet for discussion. I hope to have these blogs set up by the beginning of the next school year.
Another goal that I would set is to bring some of the skills I have learned into this course (podcasting, wiki, etc.) into my classroom. I feel that my computer applications classes would benefit greatly learning these types of skills. I hope to gravitate more toward these types of skills than the "book" skills. I feel that my students will be able to achieve more with the hands-on skills than that of the step by step book instructions that can become rather uninspiring. I will have to utilize many of the free resources on-line to accomplish this because of the lack of funding in my school district, but I believe that there is plenty that we can accomplish using the resources available on the Internet.
I have really enjoyed this course. It has been a great learning experience and one that I hope to continue. I am looking forward to the next challenge!

Partnership for 21st Century Skills
I visited the Partnership for 21st Century Skills website. It is a very informative site. I personally was not aware of it. I noticed that the site was mentioned in one of the group wikis as a great resource. It appears that it has many resources and information that teachers can utilize to help with incorporating 21st century skills into our classrooms.
From reviewing the site I discovered that Ohio is the 14th state to join the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. This is very interesting to me as I teach in the state of Ohio. What will this mean to me? I'm not sure. In reading the article it stated that Ohio will be reviewing and revising the pre-K-12 academic content standards to include 21st century skills. I think that it is great that the state of Ohio is reevaluting the standards. I hope that this will infact help educators determine what we need to strive for to ensure that our students are ready for the workplace and the "real world."

Blogging in the Classroom
I teach Accounting, Personal Finance, Computer Apps I and Computer Apps II for grades 9-12. I could utilize blogging in both of my computer application courses. It could be a way for the students to interact with me and their peers to ask questions about lessons that we have covered. I think that it would enhance their lessons because it would have them become more involved in the technological world. I try to expose my students to different technologies and to see what we can utilize in the classroom to make learning fun and interesting. I believe this would be a great idea.
