Blogging in the Classroom

I teach Accounting, Personal Finance, Computer Apps I and Computer Apps II for grades 9-12. I could utilize blogging in both of my computer application courses. It could be a way for the students to interact with me and their peers to ask questions about lessons that we have covered. I think that it would enhance their lessons because it would have them become more involved in the technological world. I try to expose my students to different technologies and to see what we can utilize in the classroom to make learning fun and interesting. I believe this would be a great idea.

  1. I have to admit that I am not 100% sold on blogging just yet, but after reading through a few of the blog pages posted by fellow educators I am getting more warmed up to the idea every day. I guess that there is a time when people like me just have to admit that students really are into the technological age and can benefit from blogging and other resources within the world wide web.
Your blog page looks great by the way!

  2. My students know a lot more than I do about technology. Sometimes they are the ones who are providing me with an education. Its been a great experience interacting with them and learning from them.

  3. Nice job on your blog.

I am so excited to figure this out,so I can use this for my classroom. I do think this would be great for communication between kids, especially at the middle school ages when note speak volumes that words can't say.

I think that is the greatest thing when you let a student know they taught you something and that you are greatful.
